We are just back from an amazing week at Pine Cliffs. As a family of 4 (4 yo & 1yo) it just worked from the moment we got there until we left. The accommodation was smart and well thought out. We stayed in the Residence which is very family friendly. We had a ground floor garden suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen & laundry room plus terrace out on to large gardens which the children loved running around. The residence has it's own restaurant for breakfast and evening buffet for half board option which we used most nights as it was so easy and nice. There are lots of other eating and drinking options though and you get credit for them if you are on half board option. Lots of people raved about the sushi restaurant but we never got there. We would definitely recommended the champagne bar on the cliff overlooking the sea though. The facilities are fab but the site is large so buggy is essential for little ones. Bike hire was popular and available on site, you can also hire buggies there, plus a little train goes around the site but only x2 per hour. There are numerous pools on site but not all are heated so we tended to only use the heated ones. The playground is brilliant and is also where the kids club is which our daughter used a few times. The staff were amazing and were a big hit with our quite reserved and shy 4 year old daughter. She wanted to go more but we actually wanted to see her. The golf & tennis facilities were well used and busy which was nice to see. The on site shop is a bit pricey as are all hotel shops but there are 2 shops just outside the site which were cheap and had everything we needed. All in all would definitely recommend Pine Cliffs. It is very family friendly but with the option of adult time too. A big hit and can't wait to go back.
In the central Algarve, a 30-minute drive from Faro airport.
