The Flamingo Beach Resort holiday village in southwestern Lanzarote is best for family holidays or breaks with younger kids, with highly rated kids’ clubs, activities and entertainment, plus a sheltered beach. It can get overcrowded in school holidays, when the main pool in particular – the focus for many activities – becomes noisy and there’s a scrum for sunbeds and shade. The capacity of the Flamingo Beach Resort’s restaurants can also fall short. The apartments are clean and spacious, but ask to be placed around the quiet pool and away from the Timanfaya Hotel end.

1-Bedroom Family Rooms sleep up to 2 adults + 2 children in a twin bedroom and on a sofabed and pull-out bed in the lounge. Interconnecting rooms available. Select Family Rooms are the same with flatscreen TV, DVD player (DVD library in reception), bathrobe and slippers.
