Family Friendly Ferries

Ferries are often the best way of getting to the Continent or to Ireland for those with young kids, since you can simply sling all your cumbersome gear into the boot and go. These days, some ferry companies even run family-oriented 'mini cruises' offering dolphin or whale-spotting or family breaks across the water – to Amsterdam Zoo, for instance. This is a good way of finding out if your kids would enjoy a longer cruise.
