Deborah StoneDeborah Stone writes for travel and lifestyle supplements for the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, with family life features a speciality. Before having her children Georgia and Henry, she worked on the Daily Express and since going freelance has also written for The Times, Sunday Times, Daily Mail, and other newspapers, as well as several parenting and travel magazines. She also has an RHS Advanced Certificate in Horticulture and has written about gardening and growing vegetables for websites and publications including the Daily Telegraph.

Deborah is a huge cheerleader for camping and caravan holidays – as a child, she travelled all over Britain with her family and spent summer weekends in Norfolk, where their 1960s four-berth Eccles caravan was lodged in a farmer’s field. That same caravan is still providing idyllic weekend breaks for Deborah’s own family, in a field in Suffolk.
Wales is another passion, particularly Pembrokeshire, the scene of many of those childhood camping holidays. She co-wrote Frommer’s Wales With Your Family with her partner Nick Dalton .

Classic bucket-and-spade holidays have been a feature of Deborah’s family life since her children arrived, but as they head towards their teens she’s looking forward to getting back to more activity-based trips – something along the lines of the PGL holidays for which she worked as a student.
