This half term my dad, my two brothers and I went to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum in Leicester Square. It was loads and loads of fun. After we’d paid, we went up five floors in a multicoloured lift to a big room with loads of amazing things in it, such as a massive electric T-Rex, the sweet machine from 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', and the most expensive Mini in the world, which is made of crystals.
Further along there is a fantastic hologram of Robert Ripley – who as well as collecting the unusual was a cartoonist and illustrator, an explorer and adventurer, and a reporter. A few more of my favourite things were a ridiculously hard mirror maze, pictures and stories of every minute and place since pictures and stories were invented, dinosaur eggs, TVs showing more amazing things, a maths quiz that always works, and some of the maddest things to eat, like crocodiles, spiders and your dead ancestors' brains.
So if you want a fun day out, Ripley's is the place to go (unless you’re silly and you don’t like fun stuff).
There's a second UK Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Blackpool, and several others around the globe, including in New York City and Orlando.
