Sarah Ebner's favourite family holiday: West Ireland

Our favourite family holiday was in the west of Ireland: it was beautiful (as I expected), very family friendly and, even though it was the summer holidays, unbelievably quiet. We didn’t want to come home.

Of all the holidays we have been on, I think Ireland had the most highlights. On her first ever pony ride, our six-year-old daughter trotted along an unspoilt beach. Our son couldn’t believe the number of sheep he could see, wandering around wherever they liked. And I was bowled over by the sheer beauty of it all, not to mention the fresh, fresh air.
