  • Family Travel - this site is the most comprehensive guide to everything about family travel on the Internet.
  • Traveling with Kids Forum - A forum for parents who want to talk directly to each other – exchanging travel tips, experiences and advice. The forum is hosted by Dea Birkett who wrote, until late 2005, a highly popular 'Travelling with Kids' column in the Guardian each Saturday.
  • Babygoes2 - focuses on ideas for parents with younger children.
  • France For Families is an online travel guide to France that focuses on, yes you guessed right, family holidays and breaks to France.

  • Mumsnet - a large and growing community of Mothers with candid reviews and a lively 'talk' forum.
  • familyrapp - a weekly online magazine for parents and carers of children with a wealth of information and advice, including a database of operators and resorts that you can search by place and type of holiday
  • ForParentsByParents - parents share personal experiences about all the life changing elements of parenthood, even the grim bits!! Their travel section focuses mostly on ideas within the UK.
  • Junior Magazine's site - includes a comprehensive travel section, rich with features from past issues of their magazines.
  • Raising Kids - offers competitions, advice and a discussion forum
  • UK Parents - has a travel focused discussion forum.
  • Childfriendly.net - a database of reviews, written by parents for parents, of child friendly places to visit within the UK, including shops and restaurants.
  • Are we there - a website full of travel games, ideas and pastimes that hope to make borring and stressful journeys a thing of the past.

Travel focused directories

  • All Kids - offers sections on Days Out, Theme Parks, UK and Overseas Holidays
  • All4kidsUK - a comprehensive UK childrens directory which includes listings for holidays within the UK and abroad, as well as holiday clubs and courses and activity camps.
  • ANTOR - it's not really a directory, it's the site of the Association of National Tourist Offices in the United Kingdom. It has links to most tourist offices which can be a great way to get impartial advice.
  • Days Out - lists over 7,000 British attractions. And publishes an annual magazine.
  • EnjoyBritain.com is one of the largest and most organised British Tourism directories on the net.
  • Travel-Directory.org lists over one million travel related sites across the globe, easy to use.
