Surrounded by a topical forest in Malaysia, Club Med's Cherating Beach is a spralling resort with plenty of activities, enthusiastic staff and you even get to see the odd monkey or two wondering around the resort. Due to the size of this resort (which is huge!) the accommodation is spread out so do expect a walk each day to get to the resort facilities. Although, this may be a god-send with young children as you wo'nt be too close to the evening entertainment noise. The beach is a short walk, which is a great way to explore the rainforest, but dont worry if you want to save your legs, there is a train to take you through the grounds to the sandy beach.
