Situated on not one but two private islands of the Maldives –  Rangali and Rangalifinolho – the Conrad Maldives is virtually unique for family holidays by virtue of having one of the world’s very few underwater restaurants, where fish swim around you as you dine. The attentive service, great childcare, generally excellent food and wonderful snorkelling and diving offered by the Conrad Maldives come at a price, but the overwhelming majority of guests think it’s well worth the money. Do be aware that the stilted Water Villas, restricted to ages 13 and up, attract many honeymooners and couples celebrating anniversaries.
