A really comfortable seaside holiday house, totally equipped for families and just 100 yards from one of the best child friendly beaches in Cornwall. With four bedrooms (sleeps up to 8), 2 en suite bathrooms and additional family bathroom, it’s a great space for one family to spread out or two families to share. Owned by Tim and Hazel Brockebank, well known as part of the team that ran and developed Luxury Family Hotels.

Childcare

in the hallway there is a small playcorner, with little Cath Kidston children’s chairs, and plenty of good quality toys, games and books from babies upwards. The house is totally equipped for babies and pre schoolers, so that you don’t have to worry about bringing it all with you!

Price

from £800 to £2200 per week for the whole property, and from £450 to £750 for short breaks out of season. (Sorry no dogs or smoking)

Accommodation

a relaxing and comfortable seaside home, with four bedrooms, (sleeping up to 8) There are two en-suite bedrooms for mums and dads and two other bedrooms for the children, with a family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have room for a cot. Beds are made up with crisp cotton sheets and feather down duvets, and each room has a hairdryer. Bathrooms have Egyptian cotton towels and Cornish hand made soap. The kitchen has French doors leading to the garden. It has a contemporary feel, bright and white, with solid oak worktops and a wooden floor. All the appliances are integrated, including fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen has been equipped with hopefully everything a family could need. The dining room also has French doors on to the garden for drinks and bbq’s on the terrace in the summer and a gas burning stove for cosy autumn and winter suppers. The sitting room has squashy sofas on which to curl up with a good book, read the papers or watch a movie. There is a utility/boot room where you can store walking boots/wellingtons/coats etc and there is a washer/dryer and extra sink. It is stocked with a starter supply of cleaning aids, laundry tablets, a shoe cleaning kit, golf umbrella, a handy shopping basket, picnic cooler box and even a beach towel for every guest. The level garden is fully enclosed, with a deck, gas bbq, outside dining table, a smaller children’s wooden picnic table, garden loungers, and a handy outside hot and cold shower for rinsing everything and everyone when you return from the beach. Park the car on your arrival and you needn’t pick up the keys until you depart!

large flatscreen tv with freeview and dvd player, dvd library of films and programmes for the whole family, X box games console and family suitable games, books, magazines and board games, telephone (for incoming and local outgoing calls), wire free internet access, CD player and radio, garden store with surfboards, buckets, spades, windbreak, beach and garden games and space for hanging wetsuits and storing bikes, outside hot and cold shower, herb garden and apple tree help yourself (when in season), “Raid the larder” for store cupboard ingredients (Twinings Earl Grey and English breakfast teabags, fresh coffee, sugar, sea salt, low sodium salt, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, dried herbs, balsamic vinegar, red and white wine vinegar), BBQ, outside dining furniture and sun loungers, paddling pool and sand pit, complete supply of baby and toddler equipment (see website for full list), fully stocked wine rack – help yourself and leave payment, delivery service of locally produced food boxes designed to produce some easy to prepare meals, such as a breakfast box, bbq box, vegetable and salad box and kids snack box.

Location

this flagship family holiday house is set at Trevone Bay, just outside Padstow, an idyllic Cornish coastal village. The sandy beach is only a stones throw from the front door and is perfect for children. Approx 1 hour and 30 minutes from Exeter, 15 minutes from Newquay airport and 30 minutes from Bodmin Parkway, (main line from Paddington to Penzance). Pickups can be arranged.
