Eco Friendly Log Cabins
Our cabins are made from UK timber using traditional log cabin  methods. They have been built with nature not against it to minimise  damage to any of the site around the cabin. Visitors can enjoy the  untouched river and woods for years to come.
 
A combination of Solar power and our fantastic wood burners provide  heat for the cabin. The wood burners only use logs sourced as a  bi-product of the ongoing management of the surrounding woodland.  Therefore, not only can you enjoy carbon footprint free hot water and  heating but also you can enjoy the atmosphere and warmth that only a  real fire can create.
  
Site of Special Scientific Interest
The woodland has been certified as a Site of Special Scientific  Interest (SSSI) where you will discover magical wildlife such as otters,  kingfishers, dippers and Roe deer.  
 
Recycling
We make sure we have relevant recycling bins to keep any impact to the environment to a minimum.
 
Organic Produce
Hidden River Cabins is based close to our working organic dairy farm  where you can pick up your organic breakfast eggs fresh from our free  range chickens! Or why not indulge in our local food hamper on arrival?
 
Pet Friendly
Pets are welcome and will love discovering the various wildlife the  woods have to offer. Please keep them under control at all times to help  preserve the balance of the woodland and river. Please ask about  sleeping facilities for pets when booking.

Price

Introductory rate of £450 for 3 nights for 2 people or £910 for 7 nights for 2 people. Children are only £10 supplement per night per child.

At Hidden River Cabins we are proud to offer a unique opportunity to  experience a truly secluded luxury log cabin holiday where you can relax  and unwind in a luxury hand built log cabin with a hot tub. Enjoy your  own beautiful stretch of river and explore the hundreds of acres of  ancient woodland that line its banks.  We offer short breaks and week  long holidays.
 
Our log cabins are just that, real log cabins made using the whole  tree trunk skillfully cut to sit on top of one another. The all  wood construction combined with a luxurious interior and stunning  private river views make for an unforgettable experience. Situated  on the banks of the river Lyne each cabin comes with miles of river  to fish and explore. The area is a rich habitat for local birds and  animals with kingfishers, otters and many others making the area their home.

After a day in the fresh air why not relax in your own log cabins  with hot tubs admiring the romantic river flowing below. Sleeping up to 6  people the cabins are situated 20 minutes from Carlisle, not far from  the Lake District and Hadrian's Wall. Hidden River Cabins provide an  escape from everyday life and a chance to experience nature at first  hand, a short break or a week or more of complete relaxation.

2 Double rooms, can sleep 6 people.  Fully fitted  kitchen and luxury interiors, private woodland surroundings and river  view, with a hot tub on the decking overlooking the river.

Facilities

The luxury log cabins are equipped with 2 double/twin  bedrooms and a sofa bed in the open plan living room. Sleeping up to 6  people this is the perfect family holiday, romantic getaway or break  with friends. The warm interior will make you feel instantly at home,  and relax in the stunning surroundings of complete wilderness.
 
A  clear view wood burner in the middle of the open plan living/kitchen  area will keep you snug all year round and there is also a hot tub on  the decking from which you can watch the river Lyne and try and spot any  fish rising or kingfishers going about their day.
 
Luxury  Bed Linen, pillows, duvet and soft towels are provided for you during your stay and high spec flat screen TV and fully integrated open plan  kitchen with all facilities needed are all provided to make your stay as  comfortable as possible.
 
We have  provided a freezer for your catch of the day, and a boot room to put wellies after an adventurous day of fishing, walking or biking.
 
All logs are provided for the duration of your stay.

We are not a facility but there are plenty of activites to do in the area, like bike riding, pony trekking, fishing is  included in your stay.

Directions
Come off the M6 at Junction 44. Take the exit to Longtown on the A7.  Stay on that road until you reach Longtown, in Longtown turn right at  the “Grahams Arms” Pub. Stay on that road until you go past a national  speed limit sign, turn right after the sign down a country road,  signposted to Shankhill. Stay on that road for 5 miles, go through a  crossroads and you will see a sign on your right for “Hidden River  Cabins”.  Turn right and follow the signs to your luxury log cabin.
