Pant y March is a 180 acre working farm located in a truly stunning location overlooking Wales’ largest natural lake – Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake). This is really a land of legends, of giants and fairies, of witches and wizards and of mythical creatures which inhabit the lakes and mountains. The Welsh language and culture thrives here with over 80 % of the inhabitants (including your hosts Geraint and Llinos) being Welsh Speaking.

each tent has 1 double room, 1 bunk bed room and the famous canopy bed which would sleep 2 children or 1 adult. Feather Down is a fantastic proposition for a group of 5 families. Each tent has a flushing toilet, running water (cold only) and a small wood burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and various kitchen utensils (whisks, corkscrews, etc). There is a large cool chest that you keep cold with iced water bottles that you pick up in the farm shop. There are paraffin lamps with hooks all around the tent to hang them up as well as a hanging candelabra above a large kitchen table which seats 6.
on each farm there is: - An honesty shop selling provisions such as eggs, milk (fresh from the cow), bread, bacon sausages, etc as well as the essential boxes of wood and kindling. - A Feather Down hen house where fresh eggs can be collected daily by guests - A traditional wood fired oven lit once each week (or stay) for breads, pizzas, stews, roast chickens; anything you like really, so probably worth doing a bit of research beforehand. - The paddock a small collection of petting animals, for example, rabbits, chickens, sheep, and Shetland ponies etc - Bike rental a collection of bikes including child seats, but it’s advisable to book them before you leave. (plus remember this is a farm and it is probably not the same as cycling in Holland) Hot showers! Set away from the tents and usually near the farm house. The farm is in the process of being converted to an organic status and has added chickens, pigs and hopefully Welsh Black Cattle to the stock of Welsh Mountain Sheep. Other inhabitants of the farm include Mwrsyn the Samoyed dog and a working border collie.
tents are located in a sunny position enjoying far-reaching views and awesome sunsets. It enjoys far-reaching north westerly views over the majestic Arenig mountain in the southern part of Snowdonia National Park, and Bala lake, (Wales' largest natural lake.) Within 45 minutes you will find endless empty sandy beaches / Castles / Prehistoric Tombstones / Slate-mines / Portmeirion Italian Village / Mount Snowdon / Cadair Idris / Llangollen Canal (including the world famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct) / Centre for Alternative Technology / Sheepdog Centre / Pistyll Rhayder, Wales’ highest waterfall/ 3 Major Mountain Biking centres (closest being Coed y Brenin) / various festivals in the summer including The Llangollen International Eisteddfod in July.
