What to Expect:
An Exclusive luxury rental villa located in one of the most scenic locations in Thailand. Fully serviced with professionally trained staff and a unique suite of activities that offer a rewarding glimpse of the real Thailand rarely experienced by tourists. Absolutely brilliant for family holidays with nanny and child supervising services, kids meals and child friendly equipment like cots, single beds with railings, a play room, kids pool and mountain bikes.
Childcare
One significant benefit for families is the affordability of trained nannies and child minders. Lanna Hill House can arrange for as many trained nannies as you like to help you relax and enjoy your stay. For slightly older children, they can arrange for someone to help keep an eye on your children while you relax. Other facilities for children include wooden high chairs, a wooden cot, two single beds with protective railings, a play room with multi channel TV and DVD player (also a small selection of toys and books), a kids' pool and mountain bikes. The house is located in an area with very little traffic and children will enjoy the opportunity to explore the local area by foot or bicycle. Price
from £1500 to £2600 per week for exclusive villa rental, and includes, housekeeping, laundry, concierge services, local Arabica coffee, tea, wi-fi internet use, and satellite TV. For an additional charge options include, freshly baked cakes, light lunches, evening meal feasts, excursions, thai dancing display (at the house), trained affordable nannies and babysitting services, and inhouse massage and spa services. The floor area covers 750 sqm. There are 4 double bedrooms, 3 with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms, the other with 2 singles and a cot. Additional single beds can be arranged on request. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The communal areas include living room, play room, great room, library, guest bathroom, kitchen and the 'crow's nest' (perched high in the roof to afford the best views of the lake and mountains. This room can also be used as a bedroom).
Of course in the semi-tropics you will want to maximise outdoor time. There are 9 covered terraces in total, a courtyard, 2 acres of gardens, a traditional sala (ideal for yoga and fitness) and of course a pool with decked surround.
The house is furnished to a very high standard. All the floors are made from teak, as are the doors and shutters (over 300 hinged units in total!). Facilities
Staff - Lanna Hill house is serviced by between 4 and 6 staff members, depending on guest numbers. Staff are either recruited locally or from disadvantaged hill tribes, and paid above the market rate, are fully trained and wear beautiful locally inspired uniforms. In House Restaurant - Khun Tim the head chef is the founder of a famous Thai cookery school and she has been a regular feature on TV both in Thailand and abroad, and has even cooked for the Thai Royal family. Vegetarian and childrens dishes are available on request, and guests are encouraged to cook with staff if they wish to. Customised menus, based on your preferences, (you will be asked before your arrival), are prepared, and guests are asked to select between 4 and 6 dishes each morning, which will then be prepared using fresh ingredients during the day. A typical dinner might include a curry , a fish or prawn dish, one or two vegetables dishes and noodles and rice. Some dishes from our current menu include Red Chilli Seafood Soup, Snapper with Green Mango Sauce, Pork with Lychee Sauce and Roast Chicken with Pomegranate Glaze. Coffee, Cakes and the Trust Bar - Coffee (Arabica coffee from Northern Thailland) and tea are available at no extra charge to guests. You can either serve yourself or use the bell service to call a staff member. A freshly baked cake is available every day on request for a small surcharge. Drinks, stocked according to your specific preferences, are available from staff during the day or at other times a trust system is operated. Housekeeping - Housekeeping staff will clean the entire house each day, and make up the beds. If you wish to prepare your own meals, they will even do all the washing-up! Laundry - In-house laundry service available at a nominal rate, unlike expensive hotels. Internet and TV - A satellite internet service is available at no charge, providing a moderately quick reliable broadband service. Wireless connections for up to 4 laptops. Massage and Inside Track Concierge Services - The ability to experience massage and spa services at a very affordable price. They are able to offer in-house massage (advance booking required) and even some in-house spa services. If you would prefer to use one of the 50-plus spas in Chiang Mai they can make recommendations and assist with bookings.
In addition to their own activities, Lanna Hill House can offer advice on tours, shopping, car hire and drivers, and restaurants. You will be getting the inside track of what is best to do and see in Chiang Mai. Not what travel agents and guides tell you! Location
set in a remote and beautifully mountainous area a mere 35 minutes drive from Chiang Mai International Airport, adjacent to one of Thailands best golf courses. Lanna Hill House is perched on a hill overlooking forested mountains, a reservoir and the Mae On valley, and is blessed with a scattering of small villages untouched by tourism. The house overlooks the 1,800m summit of Doi Mon Larn which also plays host to the famous village of Mae Kampong, a mere 30 minute drive away. The national parks of Takrai and Chae Son are also located on the doorstep.
