If you’re looking for somewhere that has great reviews and has plenty going on, then the Valentin Puerto Azul fits the bill. As you’d expect, the pool is where most things happen. So, while you’re stretched out on the terraces or lawns, the kids can throw themselves into the fun. And talking of the pool, it’s a lovely lagoon number with three separate sections - a paddling pool for toddlers, an area for older beginners and a deeper section for stronger swimmers. The food is a treat, too. Kicking off everything is a bumper breakfast of full English fry-ups and Continental dishes. The lunches and dinners are good, too, with lots of hot and cold choices plus kiddie-height buffet bars. Factor in a lounge bar, cabaret shows and a poolside cafe and there’s everything you need for a chilled-out getaway. One more thing - the rooms are like the rest of the hotel, spotless and modern. And they all count as suites, with separate lounges and balconies looking over the pool, mountains or gardens.
