Verdura Resort & Spa Resort, Sicily

Child-friendly but never overrun by children (and those that are here are of the tame, well-behaved kind!) the Verdura Golf & Spa Resort, part of the luxury Rocco Forte group, offers a oasis of minimalist tranquillity and relaxation for family holidays and breaks in an isolated spot on the south-west coast of Sicily (car-hire recommended). Some Verdura Golf & Spa Resort guests rate the food more highly than others; all agree that it’s expensive. The staff (including those at the kids’ club), the spa and the golf club garner almost universal praise; less popular is the small manmade beach.

Accommodation

203 rooms over 2 floors. For those with under-4s, rooms are childproofed on arrival. Cots are available. All rooms are sea-view with terrace or balcony. Suites have DVD player and I-pod dock. Interconnecting rooms are available for all accommodation types except Classic Suites.
Deluxe rooms with a king-size bed sleep 2 adults, or 1 adult + 1 child. Superior Deluxe rooms are the same, with a courtyard.
Classic Suites with a king-size bed and sitting area sleep 2 adults or 1 adult + 1 child.
Junior Suites with a king-size bed and seating area sleep 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant on an extra single bed and cot.
Grand Suites with king or twin beds and a sitting room sleep 2 adults +1 child + 1 infant on an extra single bed and cot, with a kitchenette and courtyard.
Ambassador Suites with a king-size bed and a large sitting room sleep 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant on an extra single bed and cot, with a kitchenette, 2nd bathroom and 3 courtyards, plus a personal butler by request.  
Presidential Suite with king-size bedroom and sitting room sleeps 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant on an extra single bed and cot, with a plunge pool, Jacuzzi, dining areas (one outside), small kitchen, 2nd bathroom, 3 terraces, plus a personal butler by request. It can connect with up to 2 Superior Deluxe rooms.
