Lots of repeat business and great reviews from parents prove that the Vila Vita Parc on the Algarve in Portugal is considered good-value for luxury family holidays and breaks despite being far from cheap. Golf buggies get you around this huge clifftop complex, which rarely feels crowded, though on wet days the indoor pool is oversubscribed, and you should pre-book restaurants in busier months. The super-friendly staff are one of Vila Vita’s greatest assets; less popular is its small cove beach, which is tricky to access and lacks facilities, but free shuttles take guests to a better one nearby.

Oasis Parc is ideal for families/large groups, with two-storey Moorish-style buildings with 60 suites, 23 of them with 2 bedrooms for up to 5 (double and twin, plus room for a cot), with home cinemas and espresso machines. Alternatively, there are 2-bedroom Vital Suites beside the spa.
In the main building, Deluxe rooms can sleep up to 3 in a bedroom and living areas with a sofa-bed.
