Default Big Apple

We recently took both our children (5 months & 2yrs) to NY for three weeks. My tips would be (Flight): Take your buggy..you can keep it until the gate is called. Take a bag of new toys/books to produce as your little one starts to climb the walls. Have a bag of snacks to hand. Medicated hand gel was great after the eldest had rolled around the floor etc. Have a glass of wine on the flight! In NY: we had a place opposite Central Park..which is great for kids...lots of playgrounds, Alice in Wonderland statue for the kids to play around, a water play area so take swimwear for the littlies, the zoo..very cheap c?3 for 3 of us, dogs free grass areas. Eating out was difficult as they don't have much space for buggies, but go for food before 6.30 and they are more accomodating (avoiding pre-show around Time Square and the suit brigade) Toysrus great place for a hour or so, SWatz for the big floor piano. New Yorkers I found were very friendly and helpful...hope yours is as enjoyable as ours.
