Question Eating with Kids ?

Meals at home are one thing. Eating out in unfamiliar territory with kids is quite another. Often finding somewhere to sup is the biggest challenge for a travelling family. See the launch of our latest series, Eating with Kids where our journey begins in Edinburgh.

If you’re not a well-fed family, you’re a fed up family. Get the food right, and you get the rest of your holiday right.

We want to keep in touch with the experts – other families. By sharing tips and experiences, together we can make eating out with a family an ecstasy, rather than an agony.

Where is your favourite place Eating with Kids?

Do you have any tips for stress free meals?

Default Eating as a family

I think it makes it much easier if at home the usual routine is sitting down at the table as a family to eat, from as early as possible.

Of course in the early stages, there are those who don't relish the idea of being splattered by a variety of bright orange purees, but honestly it will help in the long run! We found that by all eating the same, (pureed or not!), we were the lucky enough to end up without a tableful of fussy eaters!

Of course that may have had nothing to do with it, and we were just the lucky ones!

Finding somewhere family friendly to eat out is most definately an essential ingrediant.
