Default 1yr and 7 weeks - should we bother trying?

We have to kids, one 13 mmonths and one 7 weeks - we are trying to think about going on holiday later this year - say august or september. Lasy year we tried a holiday in St Ives in Cornwall when our first was 5 months old and it was a nightmare. The narrow streets weren't designed for a big pram and our daughter got bored in no time. So the question is: is there anyway worth going later this year with two so young (and if so where) or should we just accept that there won't be a holiday this year?!

Have you considered Bedruthan Steps or Newport Bay in Cornwall? No narrow streets, great beaches with tons of space, and lots of great activities for adults too. Great cafes and restaurants to chill in with a well earned latte/glass of wine, snack/full meal, with fab views. (Surf schools for the more adventurous). Don't be too disheartened with your last holiday experience, but remember that it may not all be entirely relaxing with young children.
