Hi there,
Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good place for camping. We have a 5 yr old and 2 yr old twins, so dont want a long drive really. I have no idea about any of the regions in France. WE do have a tent, or may consider hiring on a campsite if feasible and well priced. We are looking at mid August and would like some nice weather! Needs to be near a beach and child friendly and safe campsite obviously.. any recommendations would be very useful as i have started trwling the websites and getting nowhere.. Thank you C x |

Organised sites such as Canvas or Siblu, are a great plan for families with younger children, and although a more sedate experience, it can provide a terrific, no hassle, easy introduction to camping. Everything you need is on site, childcare and organised activities can be provided. You can choose from staying in huge tents, (with bedrooms etc), already set up for your arrival, or a range of mobile homes from basic to luxury.
I recently travelled to the north of France, via Eurotunnel, to an inland site around 2 hours from Calais. The journey was rather long, but if you're not too far from Folkestone it would be better. Check our sites from our partners Canvas holidays and Siblu holidays, both of whom offer Take the Family users an exclusive 5% off, on top of their fab offers. Some sites are particularly suited to families with younger children. Last edited by Sam : 26-06-2008 at 10:49 AM. |
