Hi Folks

Last year my wife (who is a school teacher) and I went with our children to Lake Garda for 2 weeks end of July beginning of August. We are looking for another holiday like this at the same time of the year.
Last year we very much enjoyed visiting Gardaland, the Ice Man and a cable car ride at Bolzano, visit to Venice, swimming and pedalos/canoes in Lake Garda, Boat trip from Lazise (where we stayed) to Malcesine and another cable car ride, boat trip to Sirmione where we met up with friends from home for the evening, and best of all Aida at the opera in Verona which we all enjoyed even the kids!
All excursions were by public transport.
We stayed in an apartment with shared pool.
This must be the best and most varied holiday we have had. The only slightly negative feature was few British people stayed in the apartments or in Lazise.
We would like another holiday like this at an apartment or small hotel with pool, elsewhere in Europe where there are a few more British visitors.
We have been considering Sicily, Costa de la Luz, Croatia or Slovenia or possibly away from the coast in Switzerland or Austria. We live near Durham. I am expecting that we have to travel to Manchester or London to get flights to these place.
I know it's a bit late to start booking up but any help would be gratefully appreciated.
