The Little Prince -- Il Piccolo Principe Bed and Breakfast in Verona Italia
Real family friendly B&B 10 mins from city centre but in quiet side road. Building is 1906 block converted to flats. Breakfast in the terrace garden with a choice of different teas way beyond my partner's needs. There is a staffed childrens playground 5 mins walk away by the Old Bridge into the City. Kids enjoyed the arena and the eating out on the pavement. Close enough to Venice to do a day trip by train. Would definitely go again. Adam |

We are planning a family break to Italy, particularly Verona, Venice and Gardaland (nr Lake Garda).
Do you think the best idea would be to stay at hotels at each location? Gardaland is only 30km from Verona, although I think we would also enjoy lakeside activities, if staying at Lake Garda too. Anyone been to Gardaland? I have heard that July is a nightmare as it is sooooooooooo busy. Maybe September would be better? |

Ideal place as base is Peschiera Del Garda on the south side of the lake. It is a small town with a station providing direct trains to Verona (40 mins) and Venice (90 mins). A family of 5 return to Verona cost 32 Euros. It is also only a 10 min drive to Gardaland. We visited Gardaland in May/June last year and it wasn't too busy.
