Hi, just joined up...trying to book something in some sun to celebrate my 40th birthday in February and really dont want to leave James - my 2 year old son - at home. Spending my special day without him would not be good for me...
However, other than a couple of places in the uk, I cannot find anywhere in europe or outside that will allow us 1/2 days off to do our own thing with James going to a nursery. In feb not many places have sun except caribbean (long flight) and canaries/dubai a) Princess Yaiza only looks after them from 3 year old. Parents have to be present all the time below that age. Having been, the facilities are good, but we want some 'us time' b) Ritz carlton dubai, contrary to this web site, it only provides 'looking after' facilities for 4+. Below that you have to be with them like the Yaiza c) florida - ok if they are over 4 and potty trained!! Help - is it really so unreasonable of us to want to go away for a week, with the option for James to go to nursery/creche for a couple of hours a day !!! The Hilton in malta has a creche but the weather in winter is not good enough and very boring for james and us.... HELP please has anyone got some suggestions......

Holidays and childcare for the under 2s in February

I hope this information helps with your search to celebrate your birthday next year. We have double checked the information for The Ritz Carlton, and yes parents do need to be present at the kids clubs for the under 4s, but they do have half days for their childcare for ages 4-12 yrs. We have now clarified this information on our website, so many thanks for letting us know. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, also in Dubai, with The Sinbad kids club, offer complimentary half day childcare (included in the price of your holiday), for ages 2-4, without the supervision of parents. Activities include educational indoor fun and exciting outdoor activities from 9.00am to 12.00pm. After 12.00pm, all children under 5 years old that are brought to Sinbad's Kids Club should be supervised by an adult or a babysitter. (Babysitting is also available.) The facilities will not disappoint for adults either. Recently renovated, you can choose from junior or paradise suites, (with their own jacuzzi), the spa is wonderful, and the leisure facilities second to none. A 5 star deluxe dream in fact!
