I have heard that at the Jolly Beach resort in Antigua they run fornightly table manners classes for toddlers. Apparently they learn all kinds of things. Sounds great. Has anyone come across anything similar, either there or elsewhere?

Hi Chloe. Jolly Beach, Antigua hold a special 'Gastronomic Evening' for kids which take place every other Tuesday at their finest restaurant. During this dinner kids are taught the art of dining. The kids are given lessons in ordering from a menu, using the proper eating apparatus and how to 'conduct oneself around the dinner table' etc. It is a sophisticated evening for Jolly Kids, where they learn whilst having fun, which is almost always the best way in our experience. It is well worth checking with your travel provider to see which dates these classes run if you are interested. They may need to be pre-booked. We hope this helps - The Take the Family team

Further to the above information regarding the 'Gastronomic Evening' at Jolly Beach, Antigua, it is part of the kid's club, but all parents are asked to sign up their children with the kid's club coordinator or entertainment staff. Reservation IS necessary for all kids wishing to attend the kid's dinner. They accept children age 5 and over only, but do however make exceptions for some three and four year olds as the Kids Club accepts children from age three to twelve. We are always keeping our eyes peeled to discover fun ways of learning new skills or learning new information whilst you and your kids are on holiday. Don't forget it could be anything from watching native wildlife, to masterpieces out of sand to exciting excursions. We hope you all have fun learning on holiday. Do let us know how it goes - Take the Family Team
