Default Any ideas for Christmas or New Year Holidays

I want to book a family break over the Christmas/New Year holiday as a surprise for my children (13 and 10). Left booking Centre Parcs until too late - everywhere is now full. Any ideas?

Default Any ideas for Christmas or New Year Holidays

Hello I just replied to another question - but incase you miss the reply I have repeated it again for you: If you're looking at the UK try beautiful North Devon, I recommend Combesgate House on the seafront at Woolacombe. Its a large house with accommodation on 2 floors, both with lounge, kitchen and several bathrooms. For Grandma the stroll along the seafront to Woolacombe is flat, opposite is the lovely Watersmeet Hotel if you don't cook your own Xmas Lunch. For the children - it's opposite the beach! and a large green for ball games and kite flying. The house is privately owned - here's the website link http://www.ferndaleleisure.co.uk/ It is popular though so I wouldn't leave booking too long! Have a great holiday!

Default What about Aviemore?

Hi,

Have you thought about the McDonald Resorts in Aviemore? they put loads on for the whole family over the festive break (ceilidh's, panto's, santa etc etc) and as they have a variety of hotels within the complex, they cater to just about any budget. The fact that all meals (and most are sumptious banquets) are included helps with with the budgeting too..

Smile How about Cornwall

Some friends of ours have just come back from a week at a beautiful self-catering property on the Helford River wwww.spinneywood.co.uk
We are thinking of just getting out of the City for Christmas and carving the turkey while looking at the sea!

Exclamation

I agree there is nothing quite like a coastal break, and Spinneywood's location is fabulous - I wouldn't mind Christmas there either!

Also do check out nearby Parc Vean and The Rosevine (on Roseland Peninsula overlooking St Gerrans Bay). Parc Vean (5-10 mins easy walk to 2 empty beaches) have limited availability but are currently offering £100 off selected breaks from now until Christmas. Another self catering option is the modern, stylish and massive Family Holiday House 100 yards from Trevone Bay.
