If you can get to cleveland / Co durham in the North east of the UK then book a visit with friends to Battle-stations. It is the UK's only actual paintball games for children age 8 plus. We had a fantastic time when we were visiting friends in sedgefield. You need a ****mum of 8 players no younger than 8 which included all the equipment and best of all, all the paintballs we could fire. Cost us £120 for all of us £15 ea and we could take our own food so we had a picnic. Got about 2 and bit hours of actual shooting at each other and about 45 mins of breaks and picnic time. Staff are very friendly and they didn't try to rip us off with extras eg Cup of tea £1.50 they only charge 50p. 10/10 kids and adults had lots of fun and got covered in paint but no bruises because of there type of low power guns (fire abt 60ft) and balls (sponge so they don't hurt).paintball cleveland - Google Maps

I noticed that the only good reviews of Battle-Stations paintball seem to be posted by the same person. Very suspicious.
I don't trust any business that has to create its own reviews. On with the review: Bad facilities, expensive balls and the charge for tea! Everywhere else I have been gives you free refreshments in with the entry price. This place is after every penny it can get and it's not worth it! The low impact pain ball thing is a con. It's not even real paint ball, it's just some cheapo toy guns from china or tiwan of something. They fire foam balls dipped in paint. Very poor. My kids could have had more fun with a water pistol! Don't see the point at all. Stupid idea, kids thought it was naff and laughed at how bad the were. The staff are unhelpful and seem to be unable to organise the place. They had no idea how to marshal a game either. I've been playing paintball since 1988 and I've seen it all... The guns you can get now are great - light years ahead of the old stuff, but Battle Stations paintball guns are just rubbish. They must have bought them job lot from some place that was shutting down. I haven't seen guns like that for years. Low range, low power and low quality. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless I hated them. It's just a big, over grown field with some caravans on it and canvas dividers breakingit up. The terrane it really rough too. I nearly broke my ankle twice. Some other guy mentiones this too: They make you sign this stupid form before you play - I think it is supposed to be a liability waver. Seems a bit suspect to me. Why do they need you to sign your rights to insurance away? Maybe they don't have any? Anyway, there are PLENTY more paintball sites in the Teesside area if you want a good one. Yarm and Scotch Corner offer better facilities and equipment to name but two. I would recommend either over this battle-stations paintball shambles. All in all rip off prices, bad managment, poor marshaling (non actually), rip off prices (I know I said it before but it's worth saying again), rip off prices (and again). Look for reviews of this place that DON'T come from the owners! Can't stress this enough. As mentioned on another revew of this place somewhere... Would you let your kids play somwhere that has so little interest in making it a safe area to play that they make you sign a waver? My kids are precious to me, I wouldn't let them play here again... If the owners thinks it's dangerous enough to want you to sign your rights away they obviously expect someone to come a cropper (or maybe the already have - I don't know, might look that up). Summary - Suspect managment and bad practises. Don't try to spam review your own site guys! Those of us who know how to use the Internet aren't taken in by your cheap tricks. And try not to spell the same words wrong when you are pretending to be someone else! LOL Total scam that (in my opinion) is run by idiots. |
