We looked forward to last years summer holiday for so long and when we arrived oh what a let down. We stayed at the Old Park Hotel, St Lawrence, Isle of Wight. We did try and find alternative accommodation but everywhere was full, the only good things was the fantastic weather. It could be a lovely hotel, beautiful setting etc, but needs a lot of money spending on it in particular bar area. Can anybody recommend somewhere child friendly in the Isle of Wight?

Hi there, We feature the Old Park Hotel on this site because, while many share the opinion that it is indeed old and tired, it still manages to get great reviews from families. I guess different families look for different things. tripadvisor.com and activehotels.com are two sites packed with independent customer reviews, may be worth a look. And if you do find a great hotel for families please let us know so we can feature it on takethefamily.
