I want to take my two young children, aged four and five, away in the UK but would also like to spend some quality time with my husband. Does anyone know of a hotel in England that offers a kids club or nanny service, apart from Calcot Manor?

Try the Luxury Family Hotels chain - four of them and all with kids clubs. Pricey but recommended. Center Parcs is another option as there are loads of supervised activities on offer for kids. And this site has a page in the UK section about breaks with childcare with other ideas. Good luck!

We have been to Cornwall for the past 8 years, staying at either Sands, Newquay or Bedruthan Step, and used childrens clubs at both hotels. Very pleased with both, our youngest was a baby when he first stayed and he was well looked after, my eldest son asked to go every day to the club at Bedruthan, we prefered Bedruthan slightly, the clubs seemed better organised and nicer facilities.

went with three young kids to tresanton hotel in st mawes
amazing pricey but a real treat the staff loved kids - pouring drinks (non alcoholic) for them put 'cinema' films on a big screen for them - the don't have full on kids clubs - but they have a playroom, lovely wendy house and in the summer (apparently) a member of staf will take them crabbing on the beach felt more relaxed and less formal than some uk childcare schemes with all the signing in and out and time restritions. this felt more part of the hotel. expensive but worth it for a treat |
