We are looking for a remote (ish) cottage in which to spend a week over Christmas. Not in a town, ideally near a village with a pub/eaterie. Maybe Devon/Cornwall/Lake District or maybe Scotland? Ideally beachfronted or sea/lake view, to sleep 2 adults and 2 children. Any ideas? particularly with regard to region. My wife and I found the perfect sea fronted cottage in Porthleven before having the children, but unfortunately it only has one bedroom.
