Default New Years Breaks with Children

I know most of us havent had our summer holidays yet, but i am interested in hearing from anybody who has taken children - ages 10 and 7 away for the New Year in the UK. Can anybody recommend anything. As we all know the best always seem to get booked first. Thanks and sorry to mention New Year so early!

Hi Bertie, It much depends on the type of break you are looking for. London and Edinburgh can be great fun if you want to see in the New Year in a city. Alternatively, you may be looking for a resort type of break - Center Parcs books up early and there are many other resorts to consider too. Do also consider Paris / Disneyland Paris as an option. Share some more thoughts around your requirements and we, or other parents, can do our best to share a few more options.

why not try the Grand hotel in Eastbourne - bracing sea air - special activities for kids - trips to the panto, swimming pool, seafront and pier The Luxury Family Hotel group is good - Ickworth also has apartments. Unfortunately neither are cheap! Slightly cheaper - Lodore Falls Hotel in Borrowadale near Keswick or blow the budget and go Gleneagles - kilts, kids activities and a big bill at the end!!! Good luck And Happy 2007

We went to Centre Parcs near Nottingham last Christamas and it was great. New Year was fully booked and there was loads of enternatinment laid on. The place was full, lots to do, even a bit surreal swimming outside in the heated pool looking at the stars. We have 4 boys between 7-16 - they loved it.
