Walk in the Grand Etang National Park taking up much of the centre of the island – it's incredibly green and lush, with lakes, waterfalls and monkeys.
Head for the glorious 11km stretch of white sand that is Grand Anse Beach, where it’s easy to find your own space. Seek out the little coves along the coastline, backed by palm trees where you can relax in the shade while the kids play.
