Why
The Julian Alps and Soca River Valley in Slovenia are a wonderful base for a varied family activity holiday. Here you can experience a holiday away from mainstream tourism and delight in the culture, people and traditions of this quiet corner of Europe.
Lying at the feet of the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park, this is an area of truly outstanding natural beauty, and rich in history.
You will have access to many of Slovenia’s many other beautiful areas including Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, the charming port of Piran on the Adriatic, with its Venetian style facades, as well as the spectacular Skocjanska Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
If, however, you are not prepared to embrace a culture where tourism has not been geared to the traditional demands of UK mass tourism then this is perhaps not the place for you.
