Why
St. Anton is one of the world's best ski resorts, and it's child-friendly too. There's a great snow record to allow skiing through mid-April and the Arlberg lift pass covers 260 km. of piste and 180 km. of deep snow trail. So a holiday in St. Anton will also allow more enterprising skiers the chance to visit the resorts of Lech, Zurs and St. Christoph.
There are dedicated children's ski areas in Nasserein (where we recommend a couple of accommodation options) and up at Gampen.
The village of St. Anton is charming and lively at night, with a wide range of facilities for non-skiers or those wishing to take a break from the slopes.

When
The ski season begins in mid-December and runs through mid-April. Your family can, of course, also enjoy St. Anton in the summer where numerous activity and excursion options should keep all family members occupied and happy.
How
take the plane
Fly to Innsbruck from a number of British airports and transfer in 75 minutes.
Do
There’s great skiing and a terrific snow record. For beginners there are slopes at the foot and the top of the gondola in Nasserein.
For intermediate and advanced skiers St. Anton will guarantee a week of excitement. There are 71 red and 31 black runs to test every level of ability and there’s gorgeous scenery too. Powder is left unpisted on 180 km. of marked ‘trails’ and for the really adventurous there’s plenty of off-piste skiing too.
For non-skiers or thos taking a break St. Anton offers tobogganing, bowling and indoor tennis. The swimming pool is 5 km. away in the village of Pettneu.
Eat
If you've booked a holiday in a catered chalet or a hotel you're likely to be served a continental breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. Exactly what’s included will vary according to how your arrangements are made.
There are 10 mountain restaurants in St. Anton, and the village itself offers a range of eating options if you need a break from your hotel / chalet fare.
Cost
A week's skiing in Anton will vary dramatically in cost depending on time of season. Try, if possible to avoid half-term where adults can easily pay £1,000. Otherwise you might pay half that amount with discounts for children.
And if you come in the summer, you'll pay considerably less.
