UK Holiday Parks
Forget Hi-de-Hi. Forget Knobbly Knees. Forget draughty chalets. In the 21st Century, family holiday parks have changed. And changed for the better.
With the likes of Center Parcs leading the way, you’re more likely to find a wonderful world of water slides, wave machines, great family accommodation and healthy, child-friendly food.
OK, you may not be exploring the pyramids or trekking through Nepal. But then again, you may just be getting a well-earned rest, ordering food the kids like and… er… having a laugh!?

What to Do
Almost anything you want.
Swim, slide, run, cycle, canoe, munch, sing, surf, read, BBQ, chill, jump… the choice is endless.
Or absolutely nothing.
Where to Stay
There are now so many options to choose from. They range substantially in price and what you pay is generally reflected in the standard of accommodation, facilities, childcare and entertainment. Our recommended options have been selected for value, with some offering substantially more expensive breaks than others. Some of our particular favourites across the range include, Hoseasons holiday parks with over 380 Lodges and parks locations throughout the UK, Bluestone holiday village, Center Parcs, Haven holidays and Butlins.
When
Open all year round, UK Holiday Parks can offer a cosy weekend away or a full-blown summer family holiday. With many boasting indoor pool and leisure facilities, there’s fun to be had come rain or shine.
How
take the car
Depends where you’re headed. Car is the obvious choice but come the peak summer months, Britain’s roads can come to a mind-numbing standstill. If you need to hire one then please check our Car hire page and don't forget to take a look at our travel tips pages for tips for family car journeys.
take the train
Train is the other option. And to be fair the UK’s train operators are trying their best to accommodate families in a modern fun way: kid’s carriages, food and, on some routes, even goodie bags. Just avoid those weekend engineering works! Find train tickets to all UK mainland stations online with the UK's biggest online seller TheTrainline.com.
Eat
At one end, Butlins offers great British classics plus a great selection of kids and family favourites – pizza, pasta etc.
At the other, Center Parcs offers a slightly more continental style and sophistication – but at higher prices.
Cost
There can be a large variation in cost, depending on time of year, location, and standard of accommodation. Mid-week breaks for a family of four can cost just £49 during the low season. But expect to pay over a grand for a week with Center Parcs during August.
