Rhonda Carrier: Writer biog

Take the Family writer Rhonda CarrierRhonda Carrier has written and edited travel guides and material for Frommer’s (their ‘With the Kids’ and ‘Take the Family’ series), Time Out, Lonely Planet, Everyman/Gallimard, Cadogan and others, and also translates travel-related material for French companies.  

She also regularly contributes to such publications as Conde Nast Traveller, The Guardian,The Observer and The French Paper on family travel, often as part of 'Ask the Expert' panels, is the family travel expert for the P&O Ferries website, and has discussed family travel issues on Radio 4's Woman's Hour.

Having studied in Paris, worked as an interpreter and English teacher in Hong Kong, and generally ventured far and wide, she is now settled in south Manchester, though she continues to travel frequently with her long-suffering family – horror novelist Conrad Williams and their three sons, Ethan, Ripley and Zac (aged 7, 5, and nearly 2)

Rhonda has also written some award-winning short fiction, published in numerous anthologies, and recently completed her first novel, The Penfriend.
