How to get to Cape Verde

There are direct flights to Sal and Boavista from London and several regional airports, taking just under six hours. Most families come to Cape Verde as part of a package holiday including flights.

Island-hopping around Cape Verde can be challenging, not least because flights are often cancelled or changed at the last minute. So it’s best to use a local travel agent and to factor in time for unexpected delays between destinations.

Cape Verde is GMT-1 so you don’t need to worry about jetlag.
