Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

It's difficult to know where to start with this vast luxury resort, but the fact that it includes Underwater Suites with views onto the 'lost city of Atlantis' should give you some idea of the flavour of Atlantis The Palm, in Dubai.

Another thing to wow kids is the world's largest waterpark, Aquaventura World, home to 105 slides, attractions and experiences, and you get to visit the Lost World Aquarium, along with other activities such as ray feeding and diving lessons. After that, the choice of beaches and swimming pools might even seem a bit 'meh'...

The Atlantis Explorers Club at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai is something else. This magical wonderland has 10 unique play spaces, including a command centre packed with the latest video games, climbing walls, a mini town for roleplay, Little Foodies kitchen for baking and Creation Station for discovering the wonders of STEM. There's also a gorgeous Little Explorers soft play area where toddlers can stretch their legs with parents supervising.

Rooms and suites at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai are spacious and stylish, with plenty of choices for families and a view of the Palm and the Dubai skyline or the Arabian Sea. All rooms and suites include complimentary access to Atlantis Explorers Club, Lost World Aquarium and Adventure World. Options for families include:

  • Palm or Ocean View Queen Room - sleeps 4 with 2 queen beds. There are also King Rooms which sleep 3, with a king bed and extra bed. Interconnecting rooms available.
  • 1-bedroom Terrace Suite - sleeps 4 plus an infant with a king room and living/dining room with sofabed.
  • 2-bedroom Family Room - sleeps 6 in a king room and adjoining room with 2 queen beds.
  • 2-bedroom Family Suite - sleeps 6 in a king bed room and adjoining room with 2 queen beds plus a living/dining room.

Imperial Club rooms and suites include access to the Imperial Club Lounge with complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea,  pre-dinner drinks, and complimentary use of the private Imperial Club beach.

Childcare

In Atlantis Explorers Club, you'll find "the UAE's most extraordinary kids club". This vast space offers a world of fun for children of all ages and can accommodate up to 400 kids, across 3 daily sessions (these must be pre-booked). On arrival for their session, children can choose which of the many play stations they want to enjoy. Children receive 1 or 2 complimentary sessions, depending upon which room/suite category you choose.

Play Stations

  • Slide Station - indoor slides for children 4-7 years old.
  • Little Foodies - cooking and baking for children 4-12 years old.
  • Craft Station - arts and craft activities for children 4-12 years old.
  • The Snug - a cosy area, perfect for peacefully enjoying a book or playing quietly. Children 4-12 years old.
  • Action Station - an activity room where children 4-12 years can let of steam with a programme of team games, obstacle courses and more.
  • Explorers Town - a mini town where children 4-7 years old can fire up their imagination with interactive role-play activities.
  • Gaming Station - children 4-12 years old can play the latest video games or watch a movie in the Silent Cinema.
  • Creation Station - the home of STEM activities for children 4-12 years olf, with science experiments, block building and more.
  • Adventure Station - an outdoor play area for chidlren 4-12 years old, where they can climb, slide, shoot hoops and dig for hidden treasure.

In addition to all these activities, children can choose to join the 'Meet the Experts' programme and go behind the scenes with the team looking after the aquarium and falconry, learning about conservation, animal welfare and taking care of the environment. Or they'd like a little pampering, they can opt for a children's spa treatment.

There is also a spot for little ones. Little Explorers club is an indoor/outdoor soft play area for children 0-3 years, under parent supervision.

Babysitting services are available for children from 7 months old. The resort also offers a supervised lunch and dinner service for children, leaving you free to enjoy a peaceful adult meal.

Flights to Dubai are available from across the UK. Atlantis The Palm, Dubai is about a 35-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.
