This popular five-star in the family-friendly winter sun destination of Dubai, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in its iconic wave-shaped beachfront building is a popular option for luxury family holidays and breaks - not least because it offers unlimited free access to Wild Wadi Waterpark next door (including entry before the general public are let in!).

The on-site kids' club is great, the staff are helpful, and the wide choice of restaurants means there's hardly any need to leave the premises. Ongoing renovation has left guestrooms looking sleek and contemporary; some have Burj Al Arab views. There's also a spa and a PADI dive centre including courses for advanced divers but also pool-based Bubblemaker experiences for children aged eight and up.
