Kasbah Tamadot, Morocco
Less than an hour’s drive from the city of Marrakech in Morocco, this stunning hotel is set in lush gardens, with the Atlas Mountains occupying the atmospheric backdrop. With just 28 rooms and suites, it is a boutique hotel but has a lot to offer. Children love exploring the grounds and meeting the resident animals. Adults enjoy the luxurious spa and the treatments on offer.
The hotel team love children and make sure every 'Kasbah Kid' feels welcome and has fun. There is no 'kids club' as such but they offer a range of fun and educational activities you can choose from - from cookery to treasure hunts, tennis lessons to guided hikes.
The hotel also has 10 Berber tents for an extra special stay, each with a private deck and some with their own hot tub. Set on the hillside, they have amazing views, but are only suitable for families with older children (min. 12 years).

Accommodation
Rooms are luxurious and each is individually decorated. All offer fantastic views of the Atlas Mountains. A number of rooms and suites can accommodate children on fold-out or rollaway beds.
Family options include:
- Superior Suites - sleep 2-3 with an open-plan sitting area.
- Deluxe Suites - sleep 2-3 with a partially separated sitting area.
- Master Suite - a mini 'Kasbah' on 2 floors with 3 bedrooms, including a Deluxe Room and a Deluxe Suite. Private pool.
- Berber Tents - sleep 2-3 with private deck, king-size bed and roll-top bath. Some have a private hot tub. Min. age 12 years (due to hillside location).
Total: 18 rooms and suites and 10 Berber tents
Moroccan cookery lessons are among the activities on offer.
Childcare
The hotel offers a number of activities for families to enjoy together. These may include things such as:
- Meeting the resident mules and going for a ride in the grounds or to a nearby village.
- Exploring the grounds on a Moroccan treasure hunt.
- Learning how to make delicious Berber bread.
- Discovering more about the local culture with a Moroccan tea party.
This is not a fixed programme. Instead, the activities are arranged for individual families as requested.
Location
Set off the Atlas Mountains an hour from Marrakech, transfer time is approximately 45 minutes by car from Marrakech Airport.
Meet the resident mules and go for a ride to explore.
