A quieter resort with low-key entertainment, the Tamarijn Aruba is a great option for an all-inclusive family holiday on this lesser-known Caribbean island, off the north coast of Venezeula. The island is small and friendly, with Dutch, Caribbean and Mexican influence and getting anywhere doesn’t take long; there are places nearby to visit with the kids; the Butterfly Farm (a 7-minute car ride) and The Donkey Sanctuary and The Ostrich Farm (both a 20-minute car journey in opposite directions) while Oranjestad, the capital, with its Dutch colonial buildings and colourful Caribbean markets is well worth a visit and only a 15-minute car journey.
Guests have access to all of the amenities at the nearby sister hotel, the Divi Aruba and facilities for all ages at Tamarjin too, including a kids’ club, golf course, rock-climbing at the beach, and watersports like kayaking and water polo (all complimentary). Even the pickiest of eaters should find something to eat at one of ten restaurants; there are also four bars and evening entertainment. All kids under 17 years stay and eat for free.
Rooms sleeping up to four have patio or balconies with ocean views plus simple modern decor.
