
Cuba Family Adventure Holiday
This amazing family experience introduces families to the colourful city of Havana, the stunning beaches around the colonial town of Trinidad, the rural landscapes of the Viñales valley and the Latin cultures of the enigmatic Caribbean island of Cuba.
As well as socialising with your group, you'll enjoy plenty of family bonding time and the chance to take part in activities such as boat trips, visiting a waterfall with a natural swimming pool, and spending time at the beach.
You will stay in a mix of characterful guesthouses, with breakfast included each day and plenty of opportunity to try the cuisine whilst you explore Cuba with the family.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Havana
First night in Havana. As many flights arrive in the evening, you'll meet your tour guide the next morning. If you arrive early, you could head out to explore Old Havana as a nice introduction to the city, home to salsa, mojitos and revolutionary spirit.
Day 2 - Tour in 1950s Cars & Salsa Lesson
After meeting your guide and group first thing, you head out for a tour of Havana in classic 1950s American cars. In the afternoon, there's a salsa lesson, to give you the basics of Cuba's characteristic dance.
Day 3 - Vinales Valley, UNESCO World Heritage Site
3 hours west of Havana takes you to the stunning Vinales Valley, home to some of the world's most famous tobacco fields. A guided walk will introduce you to the process of farming and making classic Cuban cigars.
Day 4 - Day at the Beach
Today a ferry takes you out to the island of Cayo Levisa for a relaxing day on its pristine white sandy beach. This is a great area for snorkelling, so it's worth taking snorkells with you (there may be some for hire, subject to availability).
Day 5 - Orchids & Chocolate
A drive 2 hours to the east takes you to Sierra del Rosario and a beautiful orchid garden on a steep hillside, surrounded by mountains. There are more than 700 species of orchid, including one that smells of chocolate! There is also time to relax by the hotel pool or take a walk through the forest to a waterfall.
Day 6 - Nature Walk & Optional Zipline
A guide will take you on a walking tour through the rich flora and fauna to a waterfall with rockpools - perfect for a refreshing dip. The afternoon is free to enjoy the area, with the option of gon on a 3-stage zipline course, over the tree-tops, lake and the village.
Day 7 - Cave of Fish & Bay of Pigs
Today's drive takes you through giant citrus and sugar plantations, stopping on the way at the Cueva de los Peces (Cave of Fish) - a 70m deep pool with subterranean tunnels which connect it to the sea. There's time for lunch and a swim before heading on to Playa Giron - the Bay of Pigs, made famous by the CIA-backed coup attempt by Cuban Exiles. You'll visit a museum to learn about the history of the area, before continuing to Cienfuegos, a beautifully preserved colonial city with UNESCO World Heritage status.
Day 8 - Cienfuegos & optional boat tour
In the morning, learn about the city on a short city tour. In the afternoo,n you have time free to relax by the hotel pool, or can take an optional boat excursion to one of the local bays.
Day 9 - Trinidad
A 2-hour drive takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Trinidad, which its cobbled streets and Spanish architecture. Explore the colourful streets and markets, and visit the cathedral. In the evening, you'll stay in a traditional Cuban homestay and have the chance to enjoy the music of the bands that play on the nearby steps up to the Casa de la Musica.
Day 10 - Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve
Leaving Trinidad behind, today you wind round the mountains to the Topes de Collantes nature reserve. A 4x4 truck will take you deeper into the reserve before you join a guide for a nature walk, to enjoy the rich flora and fauna and perhaps spot the rare Cuban trogon (Cuba's national bird). You'll stay at a traditional 'Hacienda', a wonderfully peaceful place with accommodation in 2-man tents. In the afternoon, there is the option to walk to a waterfall and swim in the rockpools.
Day 11 - Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve
Today you have a full day exploring the reserve, using the 4x4 trucks and hiking with guides. Look out for wonderful flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. You'll also visit caves with chilly rockpools (you can swim if you want!).
Day 12-13 - Playa Ancon
Today you head back to the coast to the beautiful white sand of Playa Ancon, for two free days where you can choose what you do - relax on the beach, enjoy the hotel's entertainment and activity programme, go kayaking, sailing or windsurfing, listen to traditional live music.
Day 14 - Santa Clara & Havana
En route back to Havana, you'll stop in Santa Clara to visit the Che Guevara Mausoleum and Museum, the final resting place of one of the world's most iconic revolutionary figures. Then you head to Havana, for an afternoon free to relax or perhaps wander in the markets, to get some souvenirs to take home.
Day 15 - Time to go home.
