The best time for family holidays in the Caribbean is during the British winter. Though July and August are the hottest months, the summer (June to November) is also the official hurricane season in the region - prices are cheaper but it can be really humid too.

Peak season in the Caribbean is December to February, so February half-term is perfect for escaping the gloom of our winter. If you have flexibility March, April or May can be a good time to go as it will be less crowded and the weather is still gorgeous - Easter is a great time. That said, Christmas in the Caribbean can be a lot of fun - many family-friendly resorts host festive events and Santa sometimes pops in too.
