Set on a private beach on the naturally-formed fresh-water Lake Sanguinet with white sands and gentle waters, five-star campsite Club Mayotte is sure to be a hit amongst families this summer. It is where watersports meets relaxation on one of the best beaches in the Aquitaine region in south-west France, and where all the family can take part in activities and hone new, as well as developing existing, skills in the water and on land.
Club Mayotte is perfect for sailing, wakeboarding and windsurfing as well as paddleboarding and kitesurfing, whilst a short drive to the coast is a surf school where for an extra cost you can perfect your skills on a well-known surfing beach. Whilst on land, you can make use of the inclusive bikes (mountain and road options) and explore the area or perhaps join a guided tour on two-wheels.
When looking to fill your time with something a little less active, the kids can run riot in the adventure park, chill out round the pools or get some thrills in the indoor pool complex with wave machine and slides. Plus you have the option of the kids attending the clubs according to their age group (options from 3 months through to 17 years; free of charge for those over 4 years) whilst you take part in a yoga session, learn to sail or simply relax around the resort soaking up the sun.
Although this is a campsite, the accommodation comes in the form of mobile homes, with two options for up to 6 and 8 people, making them ideal for large families and multi-generation holidays, or even holidays with groups of friends. Each one has an outdoor area with decking and furniture for al fresco dining as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The on-site grocery shops will be handy for stocking the cupboards whilst there are plenty of villages nearby where you can indulge in French treats at local boulangeries and cafes.
