How to get to Aquitaine

Several airlines operate flights from multiple UK airports into Bordeaux, Biarritz and Pau in the Pyrénées. Or you could take a fast TGV train from Paris to Bordeaux (the fastest take just over two hours), Arcachon, Biarritz, St-Jean-de-Luz, Agen and several other cities and towns.

It’s a 5hr 30min drive from the Channel ferry port of St-Malo in Brittany to Bordeaux. If you’re heading to Biarritz or the Pyrénées, you’d be better off sailing to Santander in Spain, about 2hrs 30mins away.
