RockyPop, Flaine

RockyPop is as fun, dynamic and lively as its name suggests. ‘More than a hotel’, RockyPop offers modern accommodation in either hotel rooms or apartments with fully-equipped kitchens. You don't need to cook for yourselves though, there are 3 restaurants in the hotel - a family-friendly buffet, a taste of local specialties from Savoie and a Japanese-styled sushi restaurant - an unusual feature in the Alps!

Through in the bar you can enjoy delicious cocktails and live music or karaoke, while the children disappear off into the ballpit in the playroom,play a game of table tennis or shoot some hoops.

Though there's no childcare at the hotel, you do have the option of pre-booking a creche or booking older children (3-8 years) into their kids' club, at a nearby hotel.

When not out on the piste, the Rockypop also has a spa with indoor pool, where the hotel also organises fun events for the whole family to splash into.

Accommodation

Accommodation at the RockyPop is designed to be calm, cozy and chic, with super-fast WiFi, blackout curtains, five-star bedding, HD TV and top soundproofing. Options include:

  • RockyDuo Room - sleeps 2 people with double/twin beds.
  • RockySuperior Room - sleeps 2 adults + 1 child with a double/twin beds and single sofabed.
  • RockyFamily Room - sleeps 2 adults + 2 children with a double/twin beds and a living room sofa with bunk beds
  • RockyCommunicantes - sleeps 4 people, with a RockySuperior room connected to a RockyDuo room.
  • Penthouses - sleeps 5-10 people in a combination of double/twin beds and bunk beds, with equipped kitchen, living and dining areas.
  • Apartments - sleep 2-6 people, with a combination of double and single beds plus a living area with equipped kitchen and dining area.

Accommodation is available on half-board, which includes a buffet breakfast and buffet evening meals, or self-catering.

 

Childcare

The hotel has a colourful indoor play area for children to enjoy, supervised by their parents - it is located in view of the bar! It includes a ball pit, toys and games.

Alternatively, you can pre-book childcare at the nearby Hotel Le Flaine, where there is a nursery for children 6 months-4 years, offering childcare from 08.30-17.00. There is also a kids' club for children from 3-8 years, which includes morning ski lessons (ski hire included), a hot lunch and afternoons of fun and games.

Location

The RockyPop is located at the very heart of Flaine, about 5 minutes' walk from ski school and the lifts.

To get to Flaine, flights are available from a number of UK airports, to either Geneva or Chambery. The transfer from Geneva is approx. 1 hour 45 minutes and from Chambery 2 hours.
