Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence L'Ecrin des Neiges are recently refurbished apartments in the highest part of Tignes. Purpose-built after the original village flooded by a dam, what it lacks now in prettiness it makes up for with facilities. The buildings are big, the sporting facilities are top notch and a free shuttle bus opposite the accommodation connects you to everything easily. This is a lively resort (voted ‘Sportiest Resort’ in 2008) and may suit adventurous families looking to make the most of their stay with a rake of activities from ice-diving in the lake to paragliding above the slopes and skijoring.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as kids’ clubs and ski schools to choose from. The accommodation has a foyer with kids’ area and fireplace, launderette and portable play station hire. There’s also an on-site bakery and a breakfast delivery service. Take advantage of savings by booking your hire equipment and kids and adults ski packages. Beds are ready on arrival and all linen and towels are included. Baby kits are available on request.
The rooms come with WiFi and balconies but have been described as very compact in some reviews.
