Located in the popular tourist region of Normandy, but in the unspoilt countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts, is La Ferme de la Moricière. The farm and tents are set upon a hillside, with amazing views and paths leading to the beach, where you can walk to the famous Mont St Michel in low tide; the farmer even lead tours of this area giving great insight into the local way of life. Or you can hire bikes from the farm and whizz round the rural lanes getting to know what else Lower Normandy has to offer.
This is an organic dairy farm where you can get involved in milking the cows and help with the other animals on the farm, or even in the garden digging for veg. Something that the farmner owners really encourage holidaymakers to get involved in, so you can each learn new skills and more about each others cultures, as well as a fantastic way to develop your language skills. So you really can make this a family holiday or break with a difference and all get involved in the day-to-day goings on and learn some farming, and French, skills in the process.
