La Vallée Campsite, Houlgate, Normandy
On the outskirts of the resort of Houlgate on the Normandy coast, a 20-minute walk from the beach, La Vallée Campsite has a properly Gallic feel and really makes you feel you're in France rather than any old campsite in the sun.
There are indoor and outdoor pools, including a kids' pool with slides, kids clubs, facilities and activities specifically for babies and tots, lots of outdoor space to run around in, a playground and a games room. You're also on the doorstep of lovely countryside to explore on foot or by bike (for hire if you don't bring your own).
This is also one of the few European holiday parks open in October half term.
