These seven self-catering chalets that make up Pierre & Vacances Residence Plagne Lauze in Plagne 1800, in the heart of the Paradiski area, France, offer great views of Mont Blanc across the valley. You’re above and slightly beyond everything here; it’s a 15-minute walk to the chairlifts and 3.5 km to the amenities in Belle Plagne, a relaxed and atmospheric village if you want to explore beyond your immediate realm. So, a bit of a schlep and perhaps not a holiday for families with very young kids but families that do come here will benefit from time spent together in gorgeous surroundings away from the crowds.
Spend time hanging out at the outdoor heated pool, soaking up the incredible views before heading to the restaurant for a bite to eat. There’s also a sauna, tennis, volleyball, squash and a games room and kids’ club where they’ll enjoy den building and exploring the mountainside. There’s a launderette, ski locker and luggage store, a home shopping delivery service and plenty of bars in the resort to choose from for some après-ski fun.
The accommodation can be on the small side but all come with a terrace or balcony.
Note: Pierre & Vacances now offer flight and self-catering apartment packages to selected resorts, some with or without transfers plus the option to add on ski lift passes and ski equipment rental.
