There are plenty of family-sized rooms and suites, some with their own pool, plus kids' clubs (some with a small fee) catering to ages 4 months to 17 years, as well as evening activities and social meal times which all kids are encouraged to join.

Watersports, mountain biking, tennis, one indoor and three outdoor pools and a spa mean that everyone is kept entertained in their own way (courses are available on some land- and water-based actvities, for adults and kids). And you choose whether to stay on a half-board or full-board basis, making use of the on-site restaurants and snack bards, including a Greek Taverna for an authentic dining experience.

MARK WARNER LEVANTE BEACH ROHODES

Our 7th visit to Levante Beach and once again we were not dissapointed. The accomodation was fab, restuarant food was fabulous and all the acitvites on offer can keep you busy all week. Sue the Manager goes out of her way to ensure everyone has a brilliant holiday. The Poolside swimming pool is now heated so that was a big plus. The resort is so clean and all the staff are really friendly, they all remebered us from our previous visits. If you want a great holiday then choose this hotel.

A second lovely holiday in Rhodes

This was our second time in MW Levante, with its fantastic pools and watersports facilities, spacious rooms and good food, great staff and charming management team at the hotel.  My husband loves the cycling which caters for all abilities from road racing to a potter on a mountain bike for an hour (although no cycling for children).  We found a copule of lovely 2 hour local cycles that suited our time slots together while the children were in clubs.  The watersports were just great for me - very helpful waterfront staff who set up and took down equipment quickly, gave good advice and very reassuring good safety back up, although the private lessons were over-priced and perhaps from a rather inexperienced young man. The child care at MW is unbeatable - the clubs for our 6 and 11 year olds were pitched just right and the children were able to opt out of any activities that didnt suit, such as 'show' preparation. The evening activities were a bit tame for our 11 year old , with really just one sport activity for an hour and he and his Dad were really disappointed that the Basketball court had been turned over to tennis, as the first holiday we had at Levante had been a real Basketball highlight for them.  The early evening films for our 6 year old daughter were a bit more aimed at the boys and the film choice for the little room would have appealed to her more.  Although we wanted to spend some good evening time with our children anyway, so we did not use evening childcare extensively. Cocktail Happy Hour was not advertised strongly but was another really pleasant and civilised moment, as otherwise the drinks seemed a bit expensive.  Another reviewer has suggested water coolers or fountains on site and that would be fantastic  for both staff and guests. The resort is shared with Apollo and they had a guest swim coach there during our week who led really great sessions in the  adult pool from 8.30 to 10.30 every day - open to MW guests - but not advertised to us, so we didnt realise they were on until too late - that was a pity - perhaps some advance advertising of particular resort highlights would help with pre-planning - and a swim coach regular would be a great addition to the MW offer.  I agree too with a reviewer who would have liked more Body Balance in the exercise menu, as the Yoga was too easy even for me, while the heavy weight lifting and HIIT sessions were not my idea of a holiday in 35 degree heat. All in all, a lovely week with plenty for the children and grown ups to do  - it was just scheduling so many different activities together that made planning a bit frenetic at times.

Levante (after MW Corsica x 2 andMW Turkey)

Having been to MW's Corsican site twice and the AI Turkish one once, we decided to push the boat out (pun intended) and try out Levante. BA was great, Like others, I'm not convinced that it's truly a 5 star property, however it certainly was slick and well managed by Sue and her team, together with the local staff, notably Katerina & Mika in the restaurant. The positives are the numerous pools, however the children's pool is SO uninspiring, that  we spent more time at the predominantly European hotel next door where they had a slide & cascading buckets; spitting dolphins ( a must for every pool, no?), as well as music. The child care was well organised and I marvelled at the Waterfront opportunities, however it can be tricky when you have 4 children with the 4 y/o needing collectng at the Childcare building near the lobby; a Junior at the Shack near the grass and the Kidz at the beach (thankfully the 13 y/o culd sign himself in & out independently) all at the same time. The childcare staff seemed to work very hard and had lots of patience and enthusiasm, although be aur eto arrive 5-10 mins early for Waterfront at 8:50/2:20pm to avoid NOT being allowed to participate, even if they haven't actually started at 9/2:30pm! Effy and Sonia, Kathryn & Chevonne were most accomodating to my younger three sons, meaning my husband and I could have a relaxing 2.5 hours in the afternoon. The rooms were spacious and I was grateful to Jas, who arranged an interconnecting one, meaning all 6 of us could share a space. The buffet food was plentiful, local, fresh and of high quality, although it could become same-y if staying more than one week. Service in the restaurant at breakfast & dinner was swift and our bills were accuarate. Drinks are reasonably priced and the on-site mini market is compettive. The salad bar and grill were just my kind of food and I couldn't help over eating! The kids' tea at 5:30pm was also very well catered for. In the evenings, I felt that the hotel lacked entertainment. The belly dancers were lack lustre! We'd loved a week at a cheap as chips Turkish all inclusive at May half term and had had much better fun with an engaged and energetic animation team all day long (possibly not in keeping with the MW brand, however the Levante resort is quite isolated). The MW childcare team have VERY long days! I wish my 9.5 year old had more in the evenings than indoor craft & a movie. All in all, we shall very likely return to MW, although this is certainly a resort for sports fanatics: both on land and at sea. We made use of tennis coaching; the football pitch (when available); playground and taster scuba/snorkelling. It's a shame there is no longer a basketball hoop. More shade is required at the tennis area and cold water tap/dispensers are required, so guests can rehydrate hassle/guilt free with chilled water. I'd like to see Body Balance on offer at the aerobics, as well as the existing Pump, HIIT offering etc. There isn't a huge amount to do nearby and the pavements/roadsides can be tricky, meaning it's easy NOT to venture off site to expereince the true Rhodes/Greece. I would recommend Levante, but beware of needing a holiday to get over the holiday: enjoy!

Levante after (vs?) Lakitira

This was our second Mark Warner holiday, the last being to Lakatira in Kos last year. My review for that holiday can also be found on this site, and if you've not read it I can summarise it briefly: almost perfect! So expectations were high when, after hearing of a logisitcal issue with our repeat booking for Kos, we upgraded our holiday to Levante - the 'flagship' of the Mark Warner fleet. The journey both there and back was fine - BA and MW staff made it as comfortable as possible so no complaints there. The accommodation, location and layout was very good. The rooms and shared areas were very well appointed and were superior to Lakitira. Of particular note was the excellent family pool which was a huge 80m long. At one point they even had some sailing boat races in it!Our appartment was on the ground floor and had a balcony that opened out onto a grass area with the pool beyond. Very nice indeed. With Lakitira, the resort was stretched out along the beach (great) whereas with Levante there was a smaller beach area with the resort stretching back away from it. This was ok but for little legs going back and forth all day it could be seen as less-than-ideal if you're being picky. The local staff were great, as were the MW staff. I had met some of the MW staff last year at Lakitira so it was good to see a few familiar faces. With the exception of a single, rather surly waiter in the restaurant (who may have had the hump because of Brexit, who knows) all staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The childcare was good and both of the kids enjoyed themselves. A couple of the staff (T and Effy) stood out for us but I did feel that perhaps more could have been done to show the kids a great time. A couple of times I was left with the impression that the childcare was primarily there to relieve parents whereas perhaps the emphasis should have been on giving the kids an amazing experience. So perhaps not quite as good as Lakitira in that respect. I didn't try tennis, cycling or aerobics etc but the facilities looked excellent. There was even an indoor pool in case the four outdoor ones (family, kids, adults and beach) weren't sufficient! I did try stand-up paddle-boarding, windsurfing, scuba diving (just in the pool) and sailing - all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Entertainment: in Lakitira there was an 'Animation team' who arranged/ran numerous events (quiz, karaoke, beach party etc) which we really enjoyed. No such team existed in Levante which was a little disappointing as it helped break the ice if you wanted to mingle with other guests. But there was entertainment in the evening, our favourite being a dancing troupe (incl. belly dancing) who were brilliant. Weather - excellent. Wind was easy-going (mostly green and blue flags) so dab hands may have been disappointed but for a beginner like me it was great. Food: very good, perhaps not quite as good as Lakitira (although a close-run thing). The Pan-Asian restaurant is very good though. Not quite so impressed by the snack bar next to the pool where the service was sometimes poor. Breakfast & dinner buffets are good. All in all, a great holiday and hats off to MW but for reasons (most of which are given above) I think we prefered Lakitira.

Action-packed week in Levante Club, Rhodes

We have just returned from an action-packed week in Levante Club, Rhodes.  Wow!  What a week!  Despite the hour's delay getting off the ground at Heathrow, the rest of the journey and transfer was very smooth.  Sue (the manager) and her team gave us a lovely welcome upon arrival.  Our accommodation was smart and conveniently located beside the adult pool.  We suffered with a few ants and lots of mosquitoes by night so please take your repellant - something we wish we'd known about - but the air conditioning in our interconnecting rooms was greatly welcomed.  We all enjoyed a week of tennis, having lots of laughs and made some great friends; my daughter also won Junior Champs and I was awarded with Frosty's 'Most Improved' tennis player so an added bonus!!  Despite only being there for a week, I was also determined to get over my fear of sailing.  The waterfront team were so kind and helpful and Joe (Beach Manager) set me up with a private lesson with 'Becky'; she made me feel at ease straight away and I quickly passed my RYA1 ... already looking forward to completing RYA2 on a future Mark Warner holiday!!  We also made the most of other activities on offer including Water Polo, Yogalates, Kayaking Safari and the Crazy Sofa ride.  The kids made lots of friends and we hardly saw them.  I must also mention 'Mika' the Restaurant Captain who was delightful, always willing to please and very welcoming.  Although we were only there for one week, we really made the most of our time there; my only requests would be that a) MW would offer a 10-day option so that we could find time to see the sights, B) add a couple more tennis courts, C) offer more drinks during the flight home.  Otherwise, a fantastic place with wonderful people!!  Thank you Mark Warner!

A great time had by all!

Just back from Lavante,we all had a fab time. The Greek staff were excellent, very friendly and happy to try and do anything to enhance our stay at Lavente.Special mention to the lovely Vanna our waitress in the bar in the evenings, her customer service was second to none and her smiling face a pleasure to see( even when she was very busy). The Mark Warner staff were great especially Hannah, Greg and Alex( Northy) on the beachfront. Their excellent training ensured my son sailed! Through his RYA courses and they were always available for advice for us and my son.a great time was had by all.

5 star staff

First time trip to Levante but I don't think it will be our last! Whilst the hotel maybe listed as 5 star it is most definitely not when compared to some of the other 5 star hotels in the neighbouring resort of Kolymbia. That said it is more than perfectly acceptable and adequate for a family holiday. However that really doesnt matter when you have 5 star staff like at Levante. I have got to say the local Greek staff were beyond excellent. Cannot do enough for you. So welcoming and helpful. Clearly loved there job and took pride in it. Food was also very good - the salad bar was amazing. However if you were there for 2 weeks I could see how it could get a bit repetitive but for a week it was great. Transfers were fine. They really do run a slick ship at Levante - everything is timed to perfection so you dont feel like you are wasting a minute - which is important in a place where there is soooo much to do. Almost too many activities to try and cram into a week. All in all - highly recommend to anyone with kids or those who want an action packed week. Finally a quick mention for the child care which is also excellent - in UK I am sure that would acheive Ofsted outstanding level were it ever to be assessed. So reassuring to know the kids are in a safe environment whilst you are making most of all the activities on offer. I don't need to say anymore other than, just go...

Third Year in a row - need I say more?

Our third year at Levante and it just gets better. From the efficient BA flights from Heathrow T5, and fantastic MW staff to the very friendly and efficient hotel staff and brilliant food. There's so much to do that we never saw the kids all week! The hotel accommodation is excellent and everything is so new. Highly recommended.
